1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Wagner Cloud Labs LLC, operating as Hensel (“Hensel,” “we,” “us” or “our”), handles personal information in connection with hensel.ai and the Hensel Service. It covers website visitors, account users, people who communicate with us, and individuals whose professional information appears in research provided through the Service.
For account administration, security and operating our website and Service, Hensel determines how the relevant information is used. Where a customer provides information for processing in its workspace, that customer may determine the purposes of processing and Hensel acts on its instructions. The applicable relationship depends on the activity and any agreement with that customer.
If your organization provides your access, its administrator can manage the workspace and access information within it. Its privacy practices may also apply. This policy does not govern third-party websites or services that operate independently of Hensel.
2. Information you provide
- Account information: your email, authentication information and profile details. If you sign in with Google, we receive the identity information needed to create or access your account, as authorized through that sign-in.
- Business and workspace information: websites or descriptions you submit, uploaded documents, targeting profiles, preferences, company lists, contact records, fit decisions, research instructions, campaign drafts and sales activities you record.
- Communications: the information you include when requesting support, giving feedback or contacting us about privacy.
- Connected services: account identifiers, authorizations and information made available when you or your workspace administrator enables an integration.
Please provide only information relevant to your use of Hensel. The Service is not intended to receive sensitive personal information or information about children.
Some information, such as an email address for account access and business context for requested research, is necessary to provide the relevant feature. If you do not provide it, that feature may not be available.
3. Public and third-party information
Hensel researches company websites, news, job postings, public professional profiles and other public sources. Enabled data providers may also supply business and professional contact information.
This can include a person’s name, employer, role, professional biography, business email, phone number, professional profile URL and location. We also process source URLs, publication dates, extracts and copies of source content, business events and inferences about potential commercial relevance.
Research results may be made available to customers using the Service for business prospecting. Publicly available professional information can still be personal information. If a record concerns you, you can contact us to request information, correction or deletion, or object to processing, subject to applicable law.
4. Technical information and storage
We and our infrastructure providers process information needed to operate and protect the Service, such as IP or network information, browser and device information, request timestamps, authentication activity, errors and usage records. We also use network identifiers to enforce public-preview limits and prevent abuse.
We use cookies for authentication and to identify a public preview. Browser session storage keeps information you enter on the landing page so it can be carried into onboarding. Local storage may remember interface preferences. These technologies support requested features, continuity and security.
You can clear or restrict cookies and browser storage using your browser settings, but signing in, preserving a preview or remembering preferences may stop working. This policy and signing in do not constitute consent to optional advertising or tracking technologies.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users and operate shared workspaces.
- Understand business context, research companies and contacts, assess signals, organize evidence and prepare requested drafts.
- Carry out your instructions and operate integrations enabled for your workspace.
- Measure operational usage, enforce budgets and limits, diagnose errors, maintain reliability and prevent abuse or unauthorized access.
- Respond to support and privacy requests, communicate service changes, comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you or take steps you request before entering one; for legitimate interests in providing business research, supporting users, maintaining reliability and preventing abuse, after considering the rights of affected individuals; to meet legal obligations; or with consent where required. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
6. AI processing and research outputs
To provide requested AI features, relevant business context, source extracts, professional information, instructions and prior workflow results may be sent to an AI provider, including OpenAI. This processing can take place on the provider’s systems.
We retain generated profiles, signals, research, drafts and operational records as part of the Service. AI providers may process and retain submitted information under the terms and settings applicable to the service used. Please avoid including personal information that is unnecessary for your request.
AI produces inferences that may be incorrect or outdated. Hensel’s research scores and drafts support human business decisions; they are not intended to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Contact us if an output includes inaccurate personal information about you.
8. How long information is kept
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Relevant factors include whether an account or workspace remains active, whether information is needed for requested research or recorded decisions, the usefulness and currency of source evidence, security needs, legal obligations and the handling of disputes or requests.
Public previews expire after 24 hours. Expiration ends access to that preview; it does not mean every related record, backup or operational log is physically deleted at that exact time. Preview cleanup and operational retention are handled separately. If you save a preview to an account, its imported information becomes part of the workspace.
We will act on valid deletion requests as required by applicable law, including deleting or de-identifying information, subject to permitted exceptions. After account closure, we retain information only for the purposes and periods described above. Residual copies may remain in backups until replaced or removed through their normal lifecycle.
9. Security and international processing
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls, protected authentication and server-side handling of service credentials. No online service or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Hensel and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, appropriate safeguards must apply, such as an applicable adequacy decision or contractual protection. You may contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict processing, object to certain processing, receive portable information, withdraw consent or appeal a decision about your request. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
You may object to processing for direct marketing and request applicable opt-outs relating to the use or disclosure of your professional information. A request can concern information you provided or information obtained from public or third-party sources. If the law gives you a right to opt out of a disclosure classified as a sale or sharing of personal information, you can also exercise that right by contacting us.
To make a request, contact us using the details below and describe the information or account concerned. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain relevant limitations. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If Hensel processes the relevant information on behalf of a customer, we may direct your request to that customer or assist it in responding. You may also complain to the data protection authority with jurisdiction over your situation. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concern.
11. Children
Hensel is intended for adults using it for business purposes and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top and provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate or required. Where a new use requires consent or another legal step, changing this policy alone will not replace that requirement.
13. Contact and privacy requests
